Los Originals Invade Teezilla

Texas Teezilla stomped into the Irving Mall a few weeks back. Bigger than ever, the indie sneaker/apparel event featured local stand outs like Sleepy Dan, Loyal KNG, Dreamstate, YAOTL, Hollow Ground, Cadera Clothing, Fly Mouth Pimpin', HIJ Clothing, Sangre Azul, The Sole Network, Un Zebre, PostCode, Endangered Globe, 52 Aces Canvas Streets, B2 Designs, United Culture and Fresh Life Apparel. We also had DJ Eddie Love laying down a dope marathon set plus featured booths from local author Jeff Dawson and Franky Ybarra, of Kicks101

Many brands took advantage of the open-ended, family friendly venue to drop their fall collections. Blacksheep featured a quick strike "Los Originals" tee that's a flagship piece in the upcoming fall 2013 collection.
As always, our host for the event, the infamous Lies and Filth, continued to push the envelope with his latest collection. From a new Von Erich tee to a re-up of the crowd favorite "Cocaine Cowboys" tee … the kid never disappoints.

Stay tuned for more info on our Blacksheep Original Fall 2013 collection dropping soon.

SpaceCamp Lights Up the Uncle Sam Jam

Tomahawk Jonez, Paco Estrada and the rest of our SpaceCamp fam anchored the lineup last week at the Uncle Sam Jam at the Curtain Club in Deep Ellum. We were lucky enough to snag a ticket and be in the building at the shoulder-to-shoulder lined show.

The dope blend of Tomahawk's lyrical bombs and Paco's smooth delivery set the tone for the evening. The set list included a fresh mix of tracks from The Daydreamer's Guide To: Wasting Time as well as "If This is Goodbye" and "Dancing With the Devil" from their new album, "Surrender to the Night", to be released later this year.

One (of the many) highlights of the set came near the end when they dropped a killer cover of Jay-Z's "Ain't No Love" that delivered at every level. Heads were bobbin' throughout and we couldn't help but notice the air of change in Deep Ellum. There has always been a hip-hop/rock influence in the neighborhood, but acts have had a tendency to favor one style and "wing" the other. In-depth knowledge of both genres begins to get at the secret to what truly makes SpaceCamp tick. From Mos-Def, to the Deftones, to the Pixies…these boys embrace and have an in-depth appreciation for their musical predecessors.

Their collaborative spirit also goes beyond the stage. Space Camp is more a collection of artists and a mind set/platform for artistic growth then just a music band. The group invites individuals to take part in their creative journey regularly and thrives on helping others reach their goals. Too good to be true? Jump in and follow their journey in their web series "DreAMers."

We're looking forward to seeing exciting things from these boys from Dallas that continue to shift the paradigm of music and art.

Stand Out…
